Hot Chocolate Spoons

Hot Chocolate Spoons

If you are a bit of an “undomesticated” goddess, this one is for you. Unless you buy your friends and family ready-made hot chocolate powder, there is no easier gift to give them. And you can adjust it to suit your budget. I saw this fabulous idea in a recent issue of IDEAS magazine and I just had to share it with my readers.

It’s really as simple as melting some chocolate (buy the best you can afford), pouring it into a muffin tray lined with muffin cases, wait for it to be semi-set then stick a spoon with a marshmallow ontop in it. Allow the chocolate to set and VOILA! You’ve got a gift! These are especially great for kids. But if you wanted to make it more suitable for adults, buy pretty silver spoons and use a good quality chocolate like Lindt.

Write/ type up your own labels with the following instructions :

Heat some milk in a pot/microwave oven (add a tot of amarula/whisky for “grown-up hot chocolate”). Place the spoon in the hot milk and swirl until the chocolate and marshmallow has melted. Easy peasy Hot Chocolate!
